STYLING A DESSERT BAR

A dessert bar can be a great feature at any party. Unfortunately, they can be pretty costly. It is possible to create a space that is both fun and affordable! Below are some ways I was able to make an dessert bar that made a real statement!

First I purchased a delicious, yet plain, cake from our favorite bakery. Make sure you choose a cake that tastes great, is easy to decorate, and has the party’s name or theme on it

Then we decorated it with home made fondant flowers, courtesy of family friend Beverlyn Gordon! You can also purchase pre-made toppings at your favorite bakery and speciality grocery stores.

My cousin, Renee Dalhouse, made yummy blue and orange sugar cookies that perfectly provided an alternative for those who were not cake lovers. Other types of dessert also provide another way to decorate your dessert table!

To finish the space, I added orange chedder cheese pop corn, gum balls and cheese puffs! Not only are they crowd pleasers but they also add a level of dimension and tie in the event’s colors!

A $10 blue fabric tablecloth, a DIY ribbon curtain as a background, orange napkins, and cute labels finish off the look. I even matched the décor-that’s how successful the event turned out!
